Colonial Shuttle + VTE Texture Patch

I love Colonial Shuttle. I love its ease of use and its impact on late-game travel.

But I also love Vanilla Textures Expanded's alternative imperial shuttle. It has this badass vibe space colonies should have.

So why not mix both shuttles?

Description
This mod is a simple patch that adds VTE's imperial shuttle texture to Colonial Shuttle.

It updates the texPath, the drawSize, and the turret location on Colonial Shuttle, and adds a mask to VTE's texture so you can tweak its skins and patterns.

Load order:
  • Colonial Shuttle
  • Vanilla Textures Expanded
  • This patch
Be sure to enable the new shuttle texture in the mod options of Vanilla Textures Expanded.

Note that Vanilla Factions Expanded - Empire uses the same shuttle texture. If you don't mind a Mod Dependency warning, it can safely be used with/instead of Vanilla Textures Expanded.

Known issues
  • Since the base VTE texture is dark red, the skins & patterns have darker colors than in the preview. Manually tweak the colors to fix the problem.
  • The turret preview is unaligned in the Upgrade panel. Unsure how to fix that.

well, a reskin of that ugly odyssey shuttle would be a cool thing...

This mod's main dependency, Colonial Shuttle, has been deprecated, so there isn't much point to update this retexture patch for 1.6.

Unless you meant something else?

I'm away for a few more weeks still, so I can't do much, let alone see the issue. You could try isolating the mods to see if it's an incompatibility. If not then you could have at look at the textures and masks of VTE and this mod.

This is a great mod, but i have a problem where the color of non player shuttles have a darker tone than player built shuttles. Can you fix this bug? or maybe a way i can personally fix it myself?
