What is this?
This mod makes it possible to move props! You can now move mailboxes, trash bins, shelves, barricades, cones, signs and more. Cars and props of similar weight can be pushed instead. Go and decorate your base!

When moving a prop, you will choose its new location through the build view and then your character will move to build it again. Any items in the inventory will be transfered to your inventory, unless the "MoveImmediately" setting is on, by whitch the inventory will just be transfered to the new prop.

Every movable prop has their own requirements to be moved. Some need a specific skill and level, and some require having a toolbox equipped. In order to move something heavy (cars for example) you will need more Strength skill. Everything can be tweaked through the settings file. You can make moving props immediate by activating the "MoveImmediately" setting.

Can be used in current saves. Not tested in Coop.

Settings
The settings file can be found in the mod's folder under "Settings_MoveProps.xml".
  • Enabled. Wether the mod is enabled. (default true)
  • MoveImmediately. Whether moving a prop will finish it immediately (otherwise will take a few seconds of building). (default false)
  • MovableProps. The list of movable props.

MovableProp
  • PrototypeName. The name of the prop that can be moved.
  • SkillRequired. The skill required to move this prop. Value is one of: Strength, HandToHand, Construction, Medical, Firearms.
  • SkillLevelRequired. The level of the skill required. Value is an integer between 0-5.
  • ToolboxRequired. Whether having an equipped toolbox is required. Value is true or false. (default false)
  • TimeTaken. The time taken to "move" a prop.
  • IsHeavy. Whether the prop is heavy. Setting this to true will make it pushable instead, such as for cars. (default false)

I'm also having issue using it with publicbeta, I can revert to the stable release, but that breaks other mods.

Thank you as always for your wonderful mods.

Once I stopped using the publicbeta version, I was able to move objects.
I just wanted to let you know.

I've recently been unable to move objects as well.
Could this be because I switched to the publicbeta v265?
Is it not compatible with the publicbeta?

Excellent mod. I've noticed however that it appears not to be working anymore in my most recent save ... every time I go to move an object. it simply takes me to the birds-eye view without the opportunity to place it down anywhere else. Any ideas how to fix this?
