Legacy of Authority
Thanks to fringe expansion and the ongoing Vanduul War, security breaches and incidents at high-traffic jump points are more common than ever. When considering a modern solution for civilian and paramilitary operations, we looked to our past; to the historic Perseus gunship. Capable of shredding sub-capital-class goliaths, the mere presence of a Perseus in a blockade or patrol squad is enough to make your most aggressive enemies think twice before engaging… just like its vintage namesake.

This was my first time making a replica of a ship, and it took about 6 hours of (actual) work to complete. I really hope y'all like it! It's survival-ready without custom turrets and the only subgrids being 2 torpedo tubes which are easy enough to make in survival anyway. It's rated for 0.5g's so it will not be capable of landing on planets.

I could have moved the artillery turrets more forward, but honestly it made it look goofy and didn't add any benefit. I also included a ventral railgun which isn't present on the original ship, this is just to add more firepower to make up for not having a huge custom turret. I also included an incredible amount of armor within the front bow, so you can basically feel free to directly face any threat.

Yeah I'm genuinely not sure if it's on my end - check your mods. Especially Weaponcore. Many mods replace vanilla blocks and can cause that issue.

thats weird, even spawning it in in creative gives the same message. it's a nice ship though

I don't use any mods in my builds. It might be pinging you about the torpedo subgrids.

Yeah, I didn't originally want to make a replica. I wanted to make something like my Leviathan (kraken) where it's just SE-ified since I didn't want to overshadow your replica at all, but then I realized - when I got curious and looked at its armor - that yours wasn't that well fit for survival.

So I changed my trajectory into making a replica instead, including a lot of space ball armor so it could actually function as it does in-lore. I really didn't want to overshadow your work at all and I'm sorry if you felt slighted seeing this at first!

But yeah I do tend to build very quickly, since I go into a project pretty much completely planned out and I just print it from the model I've made in my head. I made this in a night, then the next day did some light polishing and uploaded it. I've made tweaks since the upload, but nothing major.

Really? Damn ok that's impressive in only 6 hours. From the top view comparison of mine and yours at first glance it REALLY looked like a modified variant of my ship since it was the most popular one I ever made and the only other RSI Perseus on the workshop as far as I'm aware. I guess compliments to both of us for so closely following CIG's design? xD
