if that's the case, why not choose a different technology to add? could do something related to chip fabrication, mass advertising, biotech, or social media for instance. Though if you want to stick with cryptocurrency the probably most major thing it has allowed for is like, ease of black market sales (could do a silk road building or wonder maybe?)

This is mainly due to the fact that I wanted to give at least something to this technology. I could have created a "data center" building, but they also appeared earlier and would have been more suitable for the "Computers" technology, that is, the times of the 80-90s. I couldn't find another good option. Therefore, from everything distant, I simply chose something close to the world of finance

how come the stock exchange is moved to cryptocurrency? stock exchanges have been around since like the 1600s, and cryptocurrency came around 2000 (and bitcoin was 2009), there's no reason for stock exchanges to be held back so far to require a tech that for the most part has needed stock exchanges to function itself
