Radial Alignment Tool

描述
Scripting tool to align objects radially.

Place and rotate the tool (the white gizmo cube) as your starting position for alignment.
The first object will be placed in the forwards direction of the tool (blue arrow).

Box select the objects you wish to align.
Use the command !r value where value is the offset distance from the tool.

Example: !r 4.75 will offset the selected objects by 4.75 units away from the tool.

Enjoy!

I've updated the tool's instruction prompt as well as the description of the mod here with more detailed instructions. Hope this clarifies things.

I suppose you're welcome to fault me for not making that clear in the tool's description :steammocking: I'll give it a look over to make it more informative.

You can align one object relative to it if you wanted to - the first object will go in the transform.forward direction of the tool (blue arrow) offset by the value you've given. If you rotate and reposition the tool so that the blue arrow points where you want to align the object then that should work. However the tool *is* called a *radial alignment tool* and it's intended purpose is indeed to radially orient multiple objects.

Ah, I misunderstood then. So it's intended for a group of objects rather than lining up one object relative to it?

The radial distribution is relative to the position of the tool itself - The offset is the distance away from the tool, for each object in each direction.

Neat. How do you align along the X and Z axis (purple and green) though? Positive and negative numbers only seems to move along the blue arrow.
