No Target around docking hatches instructs AI to go for the hatch and not bother with the sides of the hatch but putting no target on endcaps used for armor is considered a cheat.
For example we had two threshers attack around the top right gun for a bit and due to being unable to chew through one layer and enter a gapped space they continued to try to damage the already destroyed shell under the top right gun with only a couple attacks doing minor damage to the shell beneath due to the aforementioned issue with layered shell/wall.
Afterwards we began to get constant errors related to items which is likely not related to the ship at all but it involved typically fire extinguishers and drone parts so who knows.
The other issue was with layered shell/shell or shell/wall which I will get into in another comment.
