ChZ Doublecross

One of my many map edits made while learning Hammer. This was made for my late custom weapons server, as I wanted a few minor gameplay changes to doublecross. I also wanted to avoid night maps or maps with dreary color palettes, I think they have a tiring effect on players, especially over a few hours of play.


My original TF2 server shutdown on November 15th of 2024. It shut down with a happy ending, only closing after I determined without a proper and conclusive end, my work would not be as meaningful. A finale was had for its last day, as a send-off for my work, my most dedicated players, and what memories were made there.


This map edit was finished in only 2 versions. Doublecross is just that good. This is how it looked when I shut my server down, the final version unless I find any major issues.


I chose Frontline as the theme for this one. Frontline is cool, that is all that needs to be said.


This remake is cool enough to be part of the ChZ collection. A fan favourite when my server was still up.

+Altered lighting and texturing. I like colors.

+Intel room moved. I love hellish chokepoints and so did my players

+Secret music, I think
