Retail Nova Prospekt recompiled with Beta's/Leak's artistic and design choices in mind.




Features:
  • Lighting and geometry have been fixed, changed or re-added to match the early prison maps' atmosphere and appearance;

  • Replaces D2_Coast_12.

  • Replaces D2_Prison_01 to D2_Prison_08.


Disclaimer:
It is not required to install the necessary content, as it only serves to deliver a visual experience closer to the one of the beta. You may play the maps with or without them, as you wish.


    To those experiencing issues with reflections and speculars, here's a quick fix:
  • Open the console on any of the modified maps experiencing errors or issues.

  • Type and enter buildcubemaps and await for the results. Once the map has reloaded, models should have the correct reflections.

  • Enjoy!

In My HL2 Old School Maps Mod, d2_prison_05 has Expanded are new areas and control room with lever feature, also d2_prison_03 Restores Cut Wall Break on Showers (script has taken from hl2 overcharged).

While Everything Works, there's a few bit of bugs occuring in one of the prison maps, with ANtlions getting stuck in their break-through burrows. Spawning inside it instead of onto the floor.

I'm getting purple shadows on npcs and props, any way to fix that? I heard it's a super common bug when exporting maps for some reason.

Not anymore, i tried it again w a couple mods on top of it as a sort of stress test but it didn't crash. ig it was either just bad luck w the number of active entities or my crappy laptop. sorry dude :p

@⛧Megalomaniac⛧ That's strange, that crash never happened to me. Plus, this mod doesn't create any dependencies with any other addons or replacements, so it should work fine for you.
Is it a reocurring crash?

crashed on d2_prison_05 but i wasn't using any replacements or reskins, just vanilla
