Ryan NYP "Spirit of St. Louis"

The Spirit of St. Louis was the name of Charles Lindbergh's airplane in which he partook the first solo atlantic crossing from New York to Paris on May 20 to 21th, 1927. Officially named the Ryan NYP (New York-Paris) it featured a large fuel tank in front of the pilot seat, hence the unusual layout and no direct frontal pilot visiblity. Lindbergh instead relyed on a extendable periscope and yawing + banking oppositly to fly sideways on landing.
