Im guessing the Thorium stuff is a no though
Back when they were first implemented, some mods added ways of obtaining those items in early game as well, so we found nothing strange in doing as such. The only problem might be the magic dagger or the star cloak, as all other items are just survival options. The philosopher's stone is needed for some crafts in the mod.
Either way plan to add it but just curious c:
Crowd control is and always will be an issue with this class. We added the turrets to try and help with this, but there is only so much you can do to mitigate it without turning the rods into a different class. Turret Bobbers and the turret items should help, but battlerods will always be a "better for single enemies" class, unfortunately.
As for the extra lures, there are some accessories that increase damage when using them exclusively for multi-enemy cases. For singular enemies, 2-4 bobbers is the max recommended.
We can try to buff these accessories (like the redirector wire) to try and increase damage with multiple lures on multiple enemies, but for single enemies, its best to leave as it is.
As for the drippler bug, I could not replicate it. May be a mod incompatibility.
As for the bobber despawning when you reel in while touching it, it's vanilla terraria behaviour that I cannot remove. The bobber only despawns if it is touching you while being pulled back.
