nijiura maids is a fictional group of eerie, ghostly maids from the denpa-kei (電波系) horror subculture in japan. they are known for:

- their unsettling presence and cryptic behaviors
- a distorted sense of servitude
- unique names that hint at something disturbing or grotesque

their aesthetic blends traditional maid uniforms with a surreal, almost urban legend-like horror atmosphere.
while not widely known in mainstream media, they have a cult following among fans of obscure horror and denpa-style narratives.

- kaitai-san
- ozoi-san
- kudoi-san
- koutei-san
- 死体さん (steam censors her name when i romanize it lmao)
- dorei-san

in music, maidcore can include denpa, electronic, or distorted, eerie compositions that match the uncanny yet charming vibe. while it shares themes with maid cafés and cosplay, it leans more into an artistic or conceptual interpretation rather than realism.
it's also mostly a russian genre lol
