UPDATE: Go to this link if you want a single pack combining all of my kitbashed PLAN surface combatants, including the Type 055 Renhai, Type 052D/052C Luyang II/III, and 054/054A Jiangkai I/II mods.

This mod adds the Type 054 / Type 054A Jiangkai I & II frigates of the People's Liberation Army.

It is a kitbash so you do not need Sea Lifter or 3rd party installers to use this mod. Note the most recent beta version of the game is breaking some mods, including ones that don't use Sea Lifter, so you may have to turn off the beta to use this mod.

Updates:
2025-05-29: Added 2x Type 054 Jiangkai I frigates which have legacy HQ-7 launchers instead of VLS.
2025-05-30: Added animated VLS hatches on 054A ("VLS 2.0"). Other cosmetic changes.

I’ve restarted and tried to redownload the mod several times. But still missing the name of the ships in this mod. The ships are perfect except the missing names. :( Your other mod Fujian Carrier is perfect without any issues :)

@Thalmoris did you by chance download the mod after you had already opened the game? I believe the game loads the language files (vessel & ammo names) at startup, so if you download mods mid-game the names won't show up until you restart.

Very good mod! But when I spawn the ship to the map, it seems that the name of each variant is missing. The name of the ship would be, ie 'MISSING: plan_ffg_type_054 name or squadron reference'. Two weapons into the ship "HQ-7" and “Yu-7” also have similar problems. Could you please review it? Thx!

Could you please kitbash an ANZAC-class frigate? It is just an O.H. Perry-class frigate with an modern mast, slightly different superstructure, and small VLS :winter2019cooldog:
