In 2023 I came back to gun finishes, and designed an UMP based on the Bayeux Tapestry. This turned out to be the worst timing as CS2 was announced shortly afterward, with all subsequent workshop submissions becoming incompatible; meaning all that hard work was for nought.

In an attempt to salvage this project I have taken the linework and manually applied it to the new model.
The PBR system has many differences, as does the underlying base model, and so I have taken creative license to make changes and adjustments on the original design.

I’ve incorporated a wood grain texture on the buttstock, handles and front rails. I’ve also shifted the grey hue and desaturated the colours to date it even further. There are subtle changes throughout to accommodate the new model but overall I feel it to be a close approximation to the original.
