On the night of July 11, 1967, following Israel’s victory in the Six-Day War, the Israeli Navy carried out a patrol mission along the recently secured Sinai coastline. During the operation, intelligence intercepts detected suspicious naval activity nearby. Shortly after, radar contact confirmed the presence of unidentified vessels moving at high speed.
