Welcome to your first shift at Sunny Sidings! Today, you're entrusted with the crucial task of assisting the yard shunter driver to couple up nine wagons (in any order) for collection. The foul weather has nothing to do with it—it's just an important job that needs your touch!

While the main loco will arrive during your operations, it won't enter the yard until you've wrapped up. Your mission is to assist the driver, not to commandeer his loco. He'll handle all the coupling and decoupling; you just need to operate the switches to guide the shunter in the right direction. It's best to stay aboard the train, but finding a higher vantage point could be beneficial. Unfortunately, all the flashlight batteries are dead, so use the loco headlights to check lever positions.

The first few switches are already aligned to get you started, but you'll need to monitor them constantly. Once you've coupled all nine wagons on the main track—the one closest to the hut—steer the shunter to the leftmost track, furthest from the hut. The driver will then signal for the main loco to approach the wagons and take them away. Make sure all the switches on the main track allow the main loco a straight run in and out of the yard.

When the shunter has stopped, head back to the hut to monitor the wagons being taken away, then treat yourself to a well-deserved hot coffee.
