描述
Throw down with Hammelpilaw's fearsome Xsotan Dreadnought in this mission that tasks you with eliminating it. Stay sharp, though! I've added a few surprises of my own. :) This mission can be found at Military Outposts, Research Stations, and Resistance Outposts.

Hammelpilaw fixed the Xsotan dreadnought event so I will be fixing this mission soon! Unfortunately, I made a whole bunch of other changes to the library that actually spawns the dreadnought so it might have to wait a bit.

debatable. they have different things going on. someone on reddit said that the xsotan dreadnought is way harder. I think in terms of raw power, the xsotan dreadnought is probably stronger, but in terms of weird crap the battleship wins.

also, you're welcome! I've been polishing up two more missions and I'm hoping to release them sometime next month.

I just recently started getting back into Avorion and your missions breath much more life into my playthrough. I am playing on insane diff am barely into nanite and got confronted with an 18 k omicron dreadnought. Got nearly destroyed, did flee out of the sector, aborted the contract, lost Relationship to faction ... and i would do it again haha did see a death sentence proto battleship quest which one of these two are the hardest ?

Yeah. I noticed this issue as well and have been talking to Hammelpilaw (author of the original dreadnought) about it - the issue is present in that mod as well. I think it is an issue with the dreadnought itself being invincible while the shields are still up.

I will see what can be done about this.

My fleet wont attack it, my own ships auto turrets wouldn't fire at it until I set them to attack target.

Thank you for creating so many mods for the game, it really makes the game feel alive when there are people modding for it passionately

Bad luck, then. I did say the mission is cracked at death sentence, lmao. It gets pretty difficult on extreme difficulty too.

Means you left it alive too long. those guys get pretty nasty if you don't get them quickly.

That said, I think that they might scale a bit too quickly if they spawn into a pre-wrecked battlefield. I'll nerf them a bit.
