[LVS] R-35 "Buzzard" Starfighter

This addon contains a new star wars ship designed to provide very fast close air support on medium-to-heavily armored ground vehicles.


The R-35 "Buzzard" was a close air support starfighter designed during a truce period of the Clone Wars in a special joint program headed by Incom, Subpro, and Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc. The ship combined existing technologies from the ARC-170 and several experimental technologies from HKD's prototype R-Class line. As a precursor to what would become the R-41 "Starchaser", the Buzzard employs the extremely strong engines/thrusters that go on to become synonymous with this family of starfighter. Being a prototype, the Buzzard is indeed limited by the technology of its time and unlike the versatile Starchaser, this ship is only effective at air-to-ground combat and is extremely vulnerable to air-to-air missiles from interceptors and multirole starfighters.

  • Bottom hull armor plate that reduces all incoming damage to 1% of itself.
    
  • Bottom wing armor plates that reduce all incoming damage to 25% of itself.

  • High explosive laser cannons for engaging enemy ground vehicles.
    
  • Charged laser canon shot that combines the firepower of all available cannon tubes to shoot an armor-penetrating laser barrage.
    
  • Sublight thrusters.
