Spellsword

描述
Adds the Spellsword class!

As their name implies, Spellswords are masters of the blade as well as the elements. By splitting their focus between magic and physical power, they're able to adapt to nearly any situation. This is an advanced class that uses Fire, Electric, Ice, Ruin, and Geo magic coupled with sword attacks to access a variety of damage and utility abilities to empower themselves and cripple their enemies.

Requires 300 Knight XP and 300 Mystic XP to unlock.

Abilities:
Ruinstrike - (4 MP) Strike foes in a wide slash, dealing 50% weapon damage + 50% ruin damage and inflict Itchy for 1-3 turns. Targets that are already Itchy become Blind for 1-3 turns.
Flash Fire - (4 MP) Dash forward through opponents, cutting them for 50% weapon damage and 50% fire damage. Leaves behind flames on empty tiles.
Thunder Thrust - (7 MP) Strike an adjacent target with a powerful bolt-infused blade for 100% damage plus 50% electric damage and push all adjacent actors 1 or more tiles. At rank 2, if the target tile is empty, leave behind a Static Field that deals electric damage and lasts for 2 turns.
Excalibur - (6 MP) Plunge your sword into the ground, dealing 30% weapon damage + 50% geo damage to surrounding targets and leaving caltrops in empty spaces.
Frost Slash - (5 MP) Strike a target for 30% weapon damage + 50% ice damage and freeze yourself and target tile solid for 3 turns.


Passives:
Spellsnatcher - Sword attacks restore 2 MP.
Counterspell - When dealt magic damage, deal damage equal to half your MagAtk to your attacker..
Infuse - Gain MagAtk equal to half of your sword skill. Requires an equipped sword in your MAIN hand.


Upgrades:
Endurance, Focus, Sword Skill, Blaze Adept, Geo Adept, Ruin Adept.

I did download your Pendragon mod recently after beating the grave is cold mod. I only just got to the town, so I'm looking forward to that buster sword looking weapon you showed in the preview for spellsword. Hopefully you can craft different material tiers with blueprints as well if it functions differently in attack range and all that.

For Frost slash, you could possibly change it to work like ruin slash; So the enemy basically has to be hit twice for the freeze to procc. Another additional aspect of depth and synergy would be to have enemies on frozen tiles hit with frost slash only need to be hit once to procc the freeze.

@Vice Thanks for responding. I have beat the game twice and now I just keep the difficulty on the level before ruin mode. Base game Swords are definitely limited so I appreciate your class giving them more utility. Though the more weapons mod on workshop with the Chakrams (sword weapon with 3 tile range and diagonols, but can't hit adjacently or targets behind others) is like the best synergy with your spellsword class, if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the comments! A few replies:

-I could make spellsnatcher check for each enemy hit, but I prefer to keep it capped at 2mp since with items/passives that improve MP regen, you can get quite a bit from just one attack, and essentially keep using spell attacks for free.

-Frost slash being an instant freeze is VERY powerful, probably too powerful even with freezing the user. If anything, I think I'd consider reworking it entirely to do something different. The intent was to make an ability that was best used when you were low on health to stop a high health enemy, kind of like trading a knight for a rook in chess. Technically better, but not in every situation.

-Fair point on expanding spell snatcher for other weapons. I wanted to make a class that really rewarded swords since they are, in my opinion, generally weaker than other weapons due to the lack of versatility, but it would probably be fine to expand. I appreciate the feedback.

Spell snatcher working for other weapon types would be nice too (just make it so only basic melee attacks for other weapon types get the mp drain, but for swords it works the way it does now). Passives typically have use outside of the class they are gained from, but only counter spell has broader synergy with any set or class.

I don't know if you'd consider this overpowered, but would you consider making frost slash not freeze you as well?

Very fun and versatile class that you can access early while also having a lot of build variety to combo with other classes that keeps it relevant through out the game.

Could you change it so Spellsnatcher gives you 2mp per enemy hit with your sword? It only makes sense since you are stealing from several enemies with various cleave attacks and it makes up for the lack of range due to being restricted to sword use.

Also could infuse add half of your sword skill in strength as well?
