描述

With their extensive flag facilities and powerful gun armament, USS Little Rock and USS Oklahoma City were slated for a full modernization and rehabilitation in the early 1980s, which would have seen modern weaponry added and the majority of their systems overhauled. While historically the funds for this project were diverted elsewhere, this mod explores a possible refit of the old cruisers.

Modernizations include:

- RGM-109B and 109C Tomahawks- TASMs and TLAMs for enhanced standoff range striking power.
- SM-1ER SAMs- Mark 7 launcher retrofitted to fire extended range SM-1s.
- RIM-7 SAMs- Short range SAM systems for increased survivability per historic plans.
- Phalanx CIWS- Close in weapons per historic plans.
- RGM-84 Harpoons- Standard ASM fitted as with most USN cruiser late modernizations.

I love using this ship in my scenarios. Tomahawks in the early 80's is very nice, especially if you use it in a Hormuz Strait mission against Iranian ground targets like Silkworm launch sites. I must admit though that I did change the missiles from the RIM-67a to the RIM-67b to place it more in line with the Belknap and Leahy classes.
