F-82G Twin Mustang

The F-82 Twin Mustang is an American long-range escort fighter. Based on the P-51 Mustang, the F-82 was designed as an escort for the B-29 in WWII, but the war ended well before the first production units were operational. The F-82F/G/H were all night fighter versions. Pilot in the left cockpit, and a radar operator replacing the second pilot.

This model is based on the F-82G on display at the National Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.

Flies great and performs well in dogfighting, but you better be accurate since all the guns are centered between the cockpits. Built very strong, can hit the ground and survive, and continue flight after losing one tail.
