Q : What is this addon used for ?

A : If you play FPS games a lot, you know that when you get hit by enemy bullets, your screen shakes a bit or a lot. This simple addon will enable you to adjust how much your view shakes after getting hit (first-person only). I made this addon because I couldn’t stand the HL2 view punch effect in gmod, which really messed with my aiming.
By the way, this addon will fail to work on certain damage types such as Combine soldier melee and Combine hunter crash.



ConVars:

XN_Custom_ViewPunch (0/1)
---Default : 1
---Set to 0 to disable this addon, while setting to 1 to enable it.

XN_CustomViewPunch_ScaleValue (Any Value)
---Default : 1
---Set to 0 to remove the annoying view punch, while any other value is okay if you like.
---For example, set this value to 0.4, and the shake effect is reduced to 40% of the original. If you set it to 2.5, then the shake effect increases to 250% of the initial.

XN_CustomViewPunch_RemoveVP (0/1)
---Default : 0
---Set to 1 to remove the view punch by a special method. This may be more effective than setting XN_CustomViewPunch_ScaleValue to 0.
