Operation Sieg

描述
The quote is taken from the Battle of the Bulge. Hitlers Alternate - Peter.G.Tsouras

German Headquarters in the West, Ziegenberg,
12 January 1945

Colonel-General Heinz Guderian was the only unhappy German in the
Führer command group. Everyone else was drunk on the victory in the
West. Even the august Field Marshal Gerd von Rundstedt had succumbed to
the euphoria. As commander of the German forces in the West, he could
claim a sublime victory as all of his references to the hair-brained nature of
the operation had been carefully hushed up. After all, his lightning thrust to
Antwerp had trapped almost a million Allied troops to the north. Not even
the great encirclements in the early days of the war in Russia had netted
such a huge bag, though they had not actually marched into captivity.
Additionally, he had smashed up the First U.S. Army and brushed its
remnants aside...
...As the chief of the Army General Staff, Guderian continued to worry a
great deal. He worried that Patton’s savage hammer blows at the German
coil on the Meuse would succeed in breaking through. He worried more
about the Führer’s determination not to let that happen. Guderian despaired
of inserting any common sense into Hitler’s deliberations, especially now
that the man’s “genius” had once more been affirmed by the victory.
Hitler’s answer to Patton was to strip more divisions from the Eastern
Front to strengthen the exhausted forces in the West. To Guderian’s
amazement, even trapped divisions in Courland were being transported by
sea across the Baltic to join von Rundstedt’s forces. More and more
divisions, especially Panzer divisions, were entraining in Poland and East
Prussia for movement west. Especially worrying was Hitler’s order to
transfer Colonel-General Erhard Raus and the staff of his Third Panzer
Army from East Prussia to the west to organize a new army for further
offensive operations. Hitler was talking of another and greater offensive to
crush the Holland Pocket followed by attacks to drive the Americans back
into France. Raus’ departure deprived the Germans forces from Poland to
the Baltic of the best Panzer commander left in the east. The man had an
extraordinary reputation for clever boldness and ruthlessness in the attack.
His 6th Panzer Division had nearly single-handedly broken into the
Stalingrad pocket. He also had a reputation for rescuing his forces from the
disasters Hitler’s meddling had caused. They said of him, “Raus zieht
heraus!”—“Raus pulls you through!”

In 1945, the German army accomplished the impossible: during Operation Die Wacht am Rhein, it surrounded Anglo-American troops in Holland.
But now the German General Staff faces an equally difficult task:
to defeat the armies in the pocket as soon as possible and force the allies to sit down at the negotiating table before the Soviet troops begin their offensive in the east.
This is a hypothetical scenario from the "What if...?" category.
Will you be able not only to keep the boiler from breaking through, but also to close it in a short time and with the forces that you were given?

I'll fix all the bugs as soon as possible

Excellent follow up to the Wacht am Rhein scenario in the base game. Please fix all the buggy names.

A truely epic scenario!!
But also very difficult, and the objective names are bugged, and the third Supply bonus objective cannot be seen in the objective list.
Please fix it! If all bugs are fixed, i would probably rate the scenario a 10/10.
And also thank you a lot for making it at all!

Looks interesting but half of the objectives and most of the reinforcements have name errors when I start the scenario

This was done due to the fact that it was impossible to supply it with an airfield, because this was exactly how the encircled group was supplied in the book.

Interesting scenario, but I'd say it's stupid that the Allies have a supply source around Einhoven (I guess it is). I would remove that, increase the supply disruption, but give the trapped units a supply dump.

Oh, hey, I've read this story myself. My personal favorite from that Tsouras compilation was the 'Monty Bounces the Rhine' story.

Hi, the name should be the same, but maybe something went wrong and could have given this name: the Duch Orchestra
