North Vietnam has agreed to enter the Sino-Soviet War on the side of the Soviet Union in exchange for the transfer of the Chinese Paracel islands to Vietnamese control, which were recently occupied by Soviet forces. This move has surprised American policy makers, as the Soviet Union can only provide limited military aid to North Vietnam while the Red Army fights in Manchuria. Many expect other secret deals must have convinced North Vietnam to join the war and launch raids into Southern China. As a result of this news, the U.S. Air Force and Navy have begun extensive bombing operations throughout North Vietnam.

The US Navy will be conducting carrier operations in the Gulf of Tonkin at Yankee Station, with the main objectives of striking North Vietnamese logistics at Haiphong and Mong Cai. B-52s operating from Thailand will hit oil installations in the port city of Vinh. US carrier aircraft will also be required to run SEAD over Vinh during this operation.

US forces in Vietnam have been degraded by morale issues, the Tet Offensive, and troop withdrawals earlier in the year. Now, President Nixon faces difficult foreign policy decisions and domestic anti-war sentiment. Fearing a possible Soviet victory in Manchuria and a strong Soviet ally in Vietnam, the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff have advised the unthinkable: a troop surge to South Vietnam and a ground invasion of the North.

Where is part 4? Can't wait to play it! Overall, it is very good mini-campaign!

The mission is great because there are plenty of objectives and a wide range of tools to accomplish them. With the right approach, it doesn’t pose any significant difficulties.

However (and this is a flaw of the game itself, not the scenario), the lack of a mission planner tools makes managing 3+ groups of aircraft at the same time a challenging and sometimes even frustrating task. Additionally, the game’s poor optimization drops the FPS to around 15 when there are a large number of units on the map (50 or more).

Also, when clicking on my mission collection, take a moment to observe the photo of Japanese warships I took in Yokosuka. Travelling is my only personality trait.

I'll put these mission in a single folder like Pacific Strike after Wolfpack plays Mission 4, my planned last mission of this mini-series.

He has his missions in a collection, see just below the scenarios name.

Also @Finnish Jager since you have your Steam profile as private, it's difficult to find all your missions given the number of scenarios that are currently uploaded.

I totally agree with @KirbyMirror2

It is much more organized to have them all together under one folder.

@Finnish Jager I highly recommend you organize all your missions into a folder like what Pacific Strike is doing. From someone who is installing hundreds of scenarios at once.

I always change the missions slightly from what people see on Youtube, except this one is unchanged from what you (might have) seen Wolfpack play. This is because he didn't spoil some fun little Easter eggs/gimmicks
