Greater Boston

A handcrafted map of the area surrounding Boston, Massachusetts, including the North and South shores, Cape Cod and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, and much of the eastern portions of the state.

Also included here are the entirety of Rhode Island, and portions of southern New Hampshire and eastern Connecticut.

In addition to more than 50 cities and towns, industries have been hand placed where they exist in real life.

Thought has also been paid to achieving balanced game play, with a number of viable starting areas to begin your journey:

- Turn Boston into a dense metropolis, linking it up to its inner and outer belts of suburban towns
- Center your focus on Worcester, Providence, Nashua or Lowell by tapping into the growth power of local industries
- Or, dial up the difficulty by developing a quieter corner of the map -- whether its the long coastal expanses of Cape Cod, the tranquil forests around Mount Monadnock, or the Connecticut mill towns of the Quinebaug River

It's a shame Mashinky continues to lack functionality for boats, which would greatly improve the accurate depiction of the economic development of this key maritime region, however it is still possible to develop Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket via planes, and to see industry develop in coastal regions even without ports.
