[B42] BetterFPS

This mod includes new versions of the IsoChunkMap.class, adjusting the default render distance of 13 to values ranging from 1 to 12. It is designed to enhance performance on low-end devices, making gameplay smoother and more accessible.

Inspired by Build 41's "BetterFPS" mod, this mod serves a similar purpose, providing a more optimized experience for players with hardware limitations.

Installation Instruction
1. Navigate to the mod directory:
- Default Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3387705007\mods\[B42] BetterFPS\42

2. Choose the folder corresponding to your desired render distance (values 1-12).

3. Copy the entire zombie folder from the selected folder.

4. Paste the zombie folder into the Project Zomboid root directory:
- Default Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid

5. Replace any existing files when prompted.


Compatibility
This mod is designed for Build 42 and may not work as intended on other builds. Please test compatibility before use.

MAC USERS, SEE BELOW:

Open 2 windows in Finder.

WINDOW 1 (Game files)
- In the menu bar: Go > Go to Folder
- Input the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam

> steamapps > common > ProjectZomboid > right click, show package contents > Contents > Java > zombie > iso


WINDOW 2 (Mod Files)
- In the menu bar: Go > Go to Folder
- Input the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam

> steamapps > workshop > content > 108600 > 3387705007 > mods > [B42] BetterFPS > 42

You will then see folders 1-13, with 13 being default render distance. Choose a render distance folder, then go: zombie > iso

Take the IsoChunkMap.class and replace it with the IsoChunkMap.class from Window 1 (Game files). Enjoy!
