Kawasaki 9000 Series LRV

Kawasaki Series 9000 Light Rail Vehicles (LRV) also known as "K Cars", are a light rail vehicle built as replacement for SEPTA's aging fleet of PCC and Brilliner interurban streetcars. The 9000 series LRVs operate on Routes 10, 34, 13, 11 and 36; or soon to be renamed T lines (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5). The 9000 series is slated for replacement starting in Spring of 2027 by Alstom Citadis vehicles.

While the 9000 series share many similarities with the 100 series used on the 101 & 102 lines, they are slightly shorter with tighter turn radii that can handle the city hall loop; and they collect power via a trolley pole rather than a pantograph. Additionally they are uni-directional.

Available in the standard livery and the historic paint scheme from the 1980 delivery. In single and double train sets.
