描述
WARNING
maps without a shadow_control entity might cause your shadow to flicker



automatic firstperson shadows, as good as whatever an official implementation would look like

vastly superior to cl_drawownshadow which suffers from quality issues [github.com] and doesn't support weapons



Features that are cool
  • Shadows for weapons, not just the player
  • Shadow is offset according to CLegs if it is present
  • Extremely untested offset support for some weapon bases

0/1 - Enables firstperson shadow rendering.
cl_firstperson_shadow_yaw
0/1 - Whether aim_yaw pose parameter should be applied or not. Disabled by default as it looks a bit weird.

FYI, when using NVG base with the Splinter Cell addon, your playermodel appears in first person and completely obstructs your vision until you restart the world. I narrowed it down to this mod. The problem even occurs when entering certain LVS vehicles and leaving.

i added the model calls back, might be worse for perf but im too lazy to test with vprof

that shadow casting on the walls made the character shadow immersive when it was reacting to the light
