I noticed that too. Wild, isn't it? A creature who's not a fox (Enki is, technically, a Sumerian god and it's a sidekick, not even the game's protagonist) will get the game it appears in the "game about foxes" status, while an actual genuine fox protagonist won't even get its own game tag (well, other than "cute", which refers more to the game's general aesthetic direction). And TRI: Of Friendship and Madness, literally "a clever game about foxes", doesn't have any tags, because it released way before tags became a thing on Steam. Obviously, these tags are more about gamers' contextual sensibilities, rather than game descriptions, more relevant to "gaming sociology" than "gaming taxonomy". Like everything that's "user-defined", I guess. Once you let people define things it becomes more about "people" than "things". But, on the other hand, there's nothing to complain about here, really, because that's also exactly how language works.

Yeah, I assumed tags are more or less a genre description, but that's not the case. Interestingly, Tunic is not tagged as a "fox" game.

I just checked and, apparently, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn has "fox" as the most popular user-defined tag. So, yeah, people are going wild with those.

And you're clearly missing TUNIC, don't you? It's a fox game in the same way Death's Door is a crow one.

Wow, I remember that one! It was pretty great, but it got way too chaotic in later levels. I never finished it, but it's definitely THE fox game out there.
