Unofficial implementation of the Base Game Humpback Whale asset.

In the Mission Editor and Encyclopedia it will appear under Civilian > Submarines

.

Most of the setting are default to how the devs had them, I've only changed the minimum of what was needed to make it playable.

Recommend setting them as Neutral Faction and putting them on a chance to exist, so their appearance is different each play through an they can act as confusing sonar contacts.

Mod will be deleted if/when Triassic implements it officially.

Update 31/12/24 - Added Visual sensor per plasm@n advice to increase playability for users wishing to play as the Whale. Didn't add sonar as it would result in false ID given that all sonar are associated with vessels. Seems to work with just the Visual sensor.

@ Azethet. Nice mod, congrats :). I was working on something similar but you beat me to it ;) So, maybe I can help a bit to fix the fact the whale doesn’t appear on the Tac-Map.
For your guidance, if you wish to, you can make the whale appear on the Tac-Map and fully controllable by the players, by changing/adding a few lines:

You'll need to replace:

Role=SmallCivilian
by
Role=SSN

Then you'll need to add sensors to the whale. You can kitbash them from the Los Angelas-class SSN for example (yes the whale deserves the best sonar suite!). In order it works she needs at least a visual sensor and a bow sonar.
