Replenishment and Recruitment Mechanic

This mod aims at bringing and improving a feature present in Total War : Thrones of Britannia, a feature with which a unit will see its number of men (and its HP) at recruitment modified by influence and happiness effects. An effect modifying the replenishment rate of units depending on the happiness and influence of a province has been impremented as well.

Those effects will reach the armies in the provinces they are located, recruiting in a province where influence and happiness are low (for an example, if it had just been conquered) might be a challenge. Every faction will be influenced by those provincial modifiers. The levels will be as presented below.


For the recruitment rate :

-Based on influence :

-0 to 20 : -40%
-20 to 40 : -30%
-40 to 60 : -20%
-60 to 80 : -10%
-80 to 100 : no modifier is applied

-Based on happiness :

--100 to -70 : -40%
--70 to -50 : -35%
--50 to 0 : -30%
-0 to 20 : -25%
-20 to 40 : -20%
-40 to 60 : -15%
-60 to 80 : -10%
-80 to 100 : -10%
-100 : -5%


-For the replenishment rate :

-Based on influence :

-0 to 20 : -12%
-20 to 40 : -8%
-40 to 60 : -4%
-60 to 80 : no modifier is applied
-80 to 100 : 4%

-Based on happiness :

--100 to -70 : -10%
--70 to -50 : -8%
--50 to 0 : -6%
-0 to 20 : -4%
-20 to 40 : -2%
-40 to 60 : no modifier is applied
-60 to 80 : 2%
-80 to 100 : 4%
-100 : 6%

Although slightly punishing, this mod can bring interesting bonuses to those who will maintain their provinces well, as well as to those who will manage to bring happiness and influence in enemy provinces down, the enemy might recruit at machine-gun speed, but their recruitment pool and replenishment rate will be quite weak, they should struggle to raise good armies from nowhere. I wanted to make happiness and influence more important to the base game, we hope this mod will improve the flavour of your games.

I am very thankful to Hecleas, as he is the one who made this mod by gathering my previous mods into a single one, he modified the values so they are not as punishing as if you used my previous mods all at the same time. We believe the values here are quite appropriate for everyone, but feedback will be paid attention to. Feel free to visit Hecleas' Workshop, as he is an experienced modder putting a lot of passion in his work (SFO, or Custom Matched Combat Animations for TW : Warhammer III being one of the more famous ones he worked upon, among others).


The mod should not present any compatibility issues aside from conflicts with other mods working on the same mechanic, and it should be pretty easy to modify to one's taste using RPFM. It should not need a new save, neither be needed for a save to load.

At the best, the unit you recruit will see it's number of men reduced by 5%, meaning a 100 men unit will start with 95 men. I have reused the game's categories by using "80 to 100 happiness", the exact values range from 80 to 99 for that one.

If I'm reading this right, with this mod installed your recruitment rate is reduced no matter what you do, as the best possible result based on happiness is either -10% or -5% (I'm not sure which one is correct, since 100 happiness has been listed twice)?
