d2_coast_02 (Gordon Freeman's Nightmare)

Made in Feburary of 2022 for the RunThinkShootLive / Map Labs competition "DeceptionVille"

This version contains some minor fixes. The boss fight is a fair bit shorter, the MIT logo is added to the main building, the skybox is the correct/intended one, and the to black is a little less janky, but since this was ported from a mapbase/SDK2013 mod, there may be new bugs here and there.

During this time, I was taking Physics 2 at my university, and very preoccupied with trying to learn thermodynamics, which was the main inspiration for this map. That, and MIT campus (and honestly, all college campuses in general) looking really cool in the evening.

Originally, the player was going to have to actually solve the physics problem to lift their car out of the ditch they fell into, but I realized that most players would find this irritating (and it didn't really fit into the scope of the project) so I went in a new direction.
