Mosquitos with Sledgehammers

May 1955. A Soviet-led insurgency is losing pace in the Philippines. Local forces, supported by the US government, responded with overwhelming force. A training cadre with several tons of arms and ammunition are transferring from the Russian cruiser Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya, ostensible on a good-will tour, to a fishing trawler to be taken to the mainland. The seas around the Philippine islands can hide ships both great and small, so beware of ambushes. The Philippine navy has several ex-UK destroyers and patrol boats acquired from various smaller navies. What they lack in firepower they make up in numbers, so be prepared for multiple engagements. Try to conserve ammunition as you may need it over a long period. Do not hesitate to retreat and seek an alternate escape route if you spot more vessels and have to flee.
