The Basics
As an artist, you want to impress on everyone your originality, regardless of whether it actually exists. You want to appear humble, and dedicated. You do this by drawing lots of yiff/yiss art.
-"What's a yiff/yiss?"
Furries/dragons having sex.
-"So I have to draw...lots of furries/dragons having sex."
In more than one sense of the word, yes.
-"Why?"
Because you're a furry/scalie.

As a furry/scalie you must understand the beauty that comes from the artists that are in our community. There are a lot of good artists and a lot of bad artists. You may not start off strong but once you get some ideas from fellow artists your art will evolve and become more likeable. As for sex in your work make sure you employ your fetish at the slightest pretext, and your "thing" always. With enough practice, you may actually become good at it. Not that you need to try too hard.

Roleplaying
When roleplaying, one of the most basic things to remember is to never use one word where two will do. This starts in your profile. For example, this is a description;

Name: Java (Nickname for Javier) Sloth
Sign: Pisces
Age: 23
Sex: M
Species: Three-toed sloth
Height: 5' 0''
Weight: 100 lbs

Appearance - Very short and sleight. Dresses well, think business casual. He has an expressive and caring face.
- Hair and fur - Normal for a sloth with a stylized 'fauxhock'
- Eye color - Brown

Skills - Extensive knowledge of coffee creation and production, botany student. Driven, intuitive, and a good listener.
Weaknesses - Clingy, can be overly emotional, tires very easily.

Likes - Ambient music, Indian culture, tortoises, philosophy, coffee. The color pink.
Dislikes - Large crowds, action movies, and cold weather.

Now that you have a good base for your roleplaying it's time to develop your skills into interacting with others while RPing. Upon entering the RP, the best recourses for signalling your availability are to hit on everyfur with a pulse, continually make posts about how bored you are. Eventually, someone will try to yiff with you. Now don't be scared when this moment comes, you want to be honest and forthcoming. Really play into your fursona make sure the other person knows that you are really what your profiles says you are and you should be in the clear for a good yiff/yiss.
Conclusion
You are what you think you are. Believe in what your fursona states and you'll fit right into the community. Make sure you yiff/yiss with others and draw as much art work as possible, it is important to let others know what your fetishes are. Don't listen to the haters for they don't understand us and in the end everyone is a little bit furry(scalies too)!

Rate down, not for quality but for relevance and for improper categorization.
