This game is an insult to game design.
The duty roulette is a chore and I fall asleep doing dungeons, often you wont be able to use your max level character cause content scales you down and removes most of the abilities you have earned. Said content is too easy and completely frictionless. They design this game for people without a pulse.
Content is locked behind a 200h story. The fact that the story is that long is simply insulting. Not all of the story is good, mind you. It is an absolute slog and unless you finish it - you cannot get into most content.
What the F*ck is the purpose of alliance raids? Normal raids? Any dungeons? There is only savage and EX.
What is the purpose of Blue mage, which is now an abandoned job? Beast master? Who asked?

End game is ALL just circle or square arenas. Nothing is interesting or exciting about a new "raid". All classes do the same thing but differently. There is not a DoT class. There isnt a real Pet job. Lets homogenize everything to make it easy so the most braindead people can enjoy it.

The game absolutely deserved it's downfall and in my opinion, it did not fall far enough. This is what happens when you have absolutely no passion for the game and just design by formula. There is no creativity here.
Community can be a cult. Defending the obvious flaws for years and thus hurting the game they themselves play.
"Very positive" review score is baffling to me, I genuinely do not understand it.
