描述
Heat Generator 166 MJh

Autonomous diesel heat generator 166 MJh.

At full load, it consumes 0.5 tons of diesel fuel, produces 10 GJ of heat per day.

Advantages:
- No personnel required for operation.
- Minimum construction cost.
- Can be installed in any remote area.
- Compact placement. (8x8 meters)

Disadvantages:
- Small fuel tank capacity - 1 tonne.
- Does not have a connection for heating pipes. (Accordingly, it provides connection only in a square of 500 meters.)
- Slightly pollutes the environment. (1.2 tons per year.)

Recommended for providing heat to detached buildings located far from centralized heating networks, for small workers' settlements, construction camps and expeditionary settlements. Ideal for a fire and police departments in a remote industrial zone.

Do not try to heat a multi-story residential complex with one boiler, especially if it's located in Siberia. This will not end well for your citizens.

Don't pay attention to the specified volume of the hot water tank. For some time now, 200 cubic meters is the minimum for any heating plant. Full-scale tests in Siberia showed that the generator can maintain a survival temperature (~15-17C) in two of the largest "1Lg-600A" (20 cubic meters each). So, we can assume that 40 cubic meters is the limit for the consumer.

You might want to use HG166 in tandem with a diesel electric generator DG300:

That would be encouraging. There are some aspects of remote working that are now helped with both this and the electricity generator. Having remote setups where helicopter or plane only has access to, due to great distances, there can be associated issues with that. In particular the way helicopters refuel before they drop off their workers.

Water and sewage options...............oh my.

@Vimes
The issue with water and sewage will also be resolved soon. ;)
I haven't figured out the underground objects yet.

Indeed, it is about what suits your purpose :)

And, like your other linked mod, is simply wonderful and helps to resolve so many associated issues with remote building and serving needs etc.

Many thanks for sharing.

Water and sewage...........that remains a challenge, at times.

@Vimes,
I will not call you a cheater. :steamhappy: Play as you like.
Yes, I thought about making the tank bigger, but I didn't want to get an imbalance. A constantly running tanker truck for refueling is the price for low cost and convenient placement.

I reckon that I will increase its fuel storage capacity to 2t.

As its needs are primarily in a remote situation type use I do have difficulties in a fuel tanker not needing to be permanently on route to or from it, to top up. That is using, in one example, a small police station only for the heat provided.

Welcome.

There are some mods though, these being similar it seems that even with "everything" selected they do not appear in the bottom menu. I have many mods like that.
They can only be accessed from the Workshop menu on the side, made easier by marking as noted.
It is a little annoying.

@Vimes
Thanks for your positive feedback!

Yes, favorites helps. You can check "Everything" and then all mods will be displayed in the bottom menu. But if you have a lot of subscribed mods, you will get a terrible mess. I don't think there is a good solution.

This and your electric generator will be so useful. Setting up remote sites or areas where fire cover is needed etc etc etc......

Well created and shared, thanks.

A game limitation, but I do wish that mods would appear in the bottom toolbar / menu and not need the side workshop items type. I have added these to the favourites, that helps.
