The Kriel Locust is a starter CV capable of being upgraded to a miner with low-tier defense. The idea is to bring it in early and make use of it later. But just being a starter doesn't mean the ship is not capable...

starter-features

For a starter the Kriel Locust starts at Core1:
Storage and functions will fit all needs until progression requires bigger ships. Beginning with 2 x 320k storage and low-level defense with sentries and minigun-turrets the Kriel Locust can hold it's position, especially because of a shield-integration by default. Movement-speed is low tho...

upgrade path

At the next level at Core 2+3 the fun starts:
- more movement abilities by implementing Advanced Ion thruster
- place for a bigger shield + shield parts

With more core-blocks 4+5 further upgrades are possible:
- drills for mining (harvest controller is integrated already)
- more turrets or turbines

The furthest level of upgrade at level core 6+7 the highest stage can be reached:
- all turrets (markers)
- mining capability
- outside guns for offense
