There may be a problem with recent updates to the game. I've encountered this bug in official missions as well

I dont have any impact on the landing planes

Both episodes are labeled as playing for NATO) There were also some problems with landing planes at Nimitz.

Fun mission! A small straight fleet duel. I just played the NATO version, and I launched some TASMs from the Virginias to act as decoys and use up enemy missiles. After a long flight time, once they arrived at the target (intended to fly past the Orel) they had lined up exactly with the Orel carrier, and if they flew any lower, they would have hit. They flew perfectly over the flight deck along its long axis. Amazing, one in a million shot. I'll see if I can figure out how to share screenshots here.
