Welcome to December 6th, 1941 Captain, the Japanese Carrier Task Force is taking position near Hawaii. We have to opportunity now to stop this attack on America, that would go down as a Day of Infamy.

Make your dreams come true! and destroy the Japanese Fleet, instead of returning home.
Command the USS Nimitz Aircraft Carrier in 1941!

Inspired by the film, "The Final Countdown" (1980)

I like the idea behind this mission and 'remake' of the movie. But now we have actual IJN ships in the game, carrier, battleships and so on. It would be nice if this mod is redone with the actual IJN assets in it.

Have you thought about updating since the Japanese have been introduced now? It's not WW2 carriers but at least it'll be a little closer to the film

Very Funny mission, It will be more fun if you know the story and play it.

It would be good to have a trigger requiring you to take the Senator and the Pilot to the island, soas the whole story can happen because of the twist... Just watched the film myself again. They don't have that sort of imagination anymore. Plus, it was a 'Murica' flex during the height of the Cold War. Those were the days... As a kid, I didn't know what a Cold War was, just that we had to practise bomb drills at school in the 80's.
