Null 0x99

This ship uses a LUA script to make its unique quirk possible! This script only works in the 1.4 public beta onwards, but it will use stats from the Barracuda Model 0 if loaded into 1.3.3.1.

The Null 0x99 is a 2280-style ship with a built-in randomizer that re-rolls its stats every lap.
Based on the "nullship" placeholder model the game uses for any custom ships the player does not have installed in multiplayer.

Known as the "Ghost Ship Bug" by programmers within Lance Systems, the Nullship appeared not too long after development of new AGL circuits began in the company's virtual environment.

Occasionally, the bug itself would manifest as a non-human contender that pilots a placeholder model the simulation software had. No matter what the company tried, they could not get the bug patched in time for when AGL staff arrived to inspect the new venues.

Whether it was leftover code or an unregistered team remains a mystery, but it has been reworked by Lance and spun by the AGL as a rare duel that could happen in the league's virtual season.
