The Freeman Parable

Freeman's story through the eyes of the narrator. Inspired by The Stanley Parable game.
The mod contains the first two maps of the original HL2 series, subtitles and voice acting.


Download this archive[drive.google.com] and unzip it into a directory Half-Life 2/hl2/resource.
To find the game directory, right click on the game in your steam library and then select Manage -> Browse local files.
Warning! Do not disable subtitles in the game. Otherwise, the game will crash.

The mod was created in 2013, in 2022 it was released on ModDB. The workshop version contains corrected lighting, some visual fixes and a check for subtitles on startup.
Voice acting was done using Uberduck AI (credits).
The mod uses the Gordon Freeman model by Kathar.
