Continuum Shift

Following the aftermath of Kleiner's teleport malfunction, Gordon appears to have re-appeared in City 17, but in a different timeline. Inexplicably, his matter permeates through both the events of Half-Life 2 and Episode 1, with the newfound ability to travel between the two states. Will he make it through before the anomaly rips him apart?

Continuum Shift is a winning 2nd place entry originally made in 2019 for the RunThinkShootLiveVille2 competition[www.runthinkshootlive.com], hosted by RTSL and Map Labs. The theme required entrants to include 4 sections in their map: Run, Think, Shoot, and Live, as per Half-Life's tagline.

The map is not the most polished in terms of visuals, as I had to do what I could within the competition time frame. Still, I am pretty proud of the result. The main inspiration for the idea was Wraith's phase ability from Apex Legends (however, the Titanfall 2 time travel level was very much also in my mind when making this). Credit where credit is due.
