I'm in the process of making another map with some help of friends. I'll consider looking at the Prokhorovka area.
I was drawn to the terrain because of the historical nature combined with the interesting / niche region.
I have it as WIP - I may return to it. The "-see" lake regions are still flat grass because I have no clue how to rectify it. Most are 100+ meters above sea level so if I dug them down to 0 meters for water to begin spawning, it would look like crap. I would have to use pond objects - which I haven't looked into yet.
There are some man made objects (1 village). On some of the hills I tried putting some cobblestone bunkers down that were mentioned in some historical sources. Mostly the terrain is supposed to be barren and rocky.
I appreciate the review and look at it. I hope people do enjoy making missions and playing on it.
I assume that this isn't finished, based on the fact that the "-see" lake regions are still flat grass. Is the plan to lower them below sea level (yay!) or use pond objects :'[ ...?
And did you have any plans on adding manmade objects? It could be very hard to add something that doesn't look out of place. But even small things could subtly break up the terrain.
Whatever I just want to say that this is awesome. Thank you for sharing this.
