Recordable Archangels

描述
This mod enables recording of archangels to get their tapes. This mod also adds starting moves for archangel tapes, expands their list of learnable moves, and increases the move slots of most archangel tapes. Archangel exclusive moves can also be peeled like normal stickers and are compatible with sticker fusion. Archangel tapes and stickers can be recycled as normal. Archangel tapes can be fused, but they will use Shining Kuneko's name and sprite set.

Some archangel fights can only be fought once per playthrough. This mod does not add any new archangel encounters, so for some archangels you may have to use a mod that features these encounters such as Boss Replay by NCrafters. Otherwise, you may have to spawn them in directly using a mod such as Debug Plus by Lerycide. Archangel tapes spawned this way should still have the starting moves added by this mod.

Warning
BACKUP YOUR SAVE BEFORE USING THIS! Given the nature of this mod, there is always the possibility of something ruining your save file. While I personally haven't run into any save issues in my testing, use at your own risk!

This mod is usable while connected online HOWEVER you cannot use archangel tapes for coop, pvp, or trading.

Removing
This mod can be safely removed. Because archangel tapes already exist within the game, you should be able to keep any existing tapes along with their current stickers. However, they will no longer be able to equip most stickers and their move slots will go back to 8. They will still have their currently equipped stickers, but removing stickers that are above the move limit will also remove that move slot. Essentially, if you remove this mod you can keep your archangel tapes but you won't really be able to change their moves.

Also if this mod is removed, the game will crash if you attempt to fuse archangels, or if you attempt to put archangel stickers in the sticker fusion menu.

Each archangel tape comes with the moves used in their boss fight (with some exceptions), at least 12 move slots (some having more to fit their larger moveset) plus Smack or Spit, Channeled Power, and usually an empty slot or two for customisation. All archangels are able to use Channeled Power, Eldritch, and Summon Tulpa. Some archangels (such as Aleph Null) do not have all their moves in their starting movesets due to move slot limitations, but are still able to equip stickers of their missing moves, which can be taken off other archangels like normal stickers.


Gauntlet spoilers:
Shadow Lenna, Rogue Traffikrab, Bytten Studio

Magikrab and Shining Kuneko are compatible with the 'Channelled Power' sticker. Magikrab is compatible with the 'End of the Line' sticker (you are also able to record Magikrab from the gauntlet). Some of Bytten Studio's moves are modified versions of regular moves that are more powerful. Also, Morgante and Nowhere Peasant may not be recordable in the arena, as they are different to their non-arena counterparts.


Channeled Power Mechanics
You do not use lose AP when using most attacks, but moves that cost a full AP bar will still do so (such as last rites, headshot, and angelic attacks).
Switching tapes does not remove the Channeled Power status.
Channeled power does not grant you angelic attacks on its own, you need to add them yourself using stickers.

Known Issues
  • You cannot record Poppetox or his effigies during his boss fight due to his effigies being considered human. As a workaround, you could use my Record Anything mod found here alongside this mod to record Poppetox and the effigies. I made the Record Anything mod purely for debugging purposes, so I recommend removing it after you're done with it to be safe.
  • When viewing tapes from storage, the movelist of 'typeless' tapes look really weird, with move icons being varying sizes. This effect only seems to be visual.
  • Helia's 'Fusion Power' move does nothing (unless you're a fusion).
  • The move 'Typeless Coating' can only be used on its user.

The software license for this mod (located in source code) applies only to the portions of files changed from the original game, and not the files in their entirety.

@Namid No worries! Also if you're trying to add files to my mod, it might not be working because you'd also have to add the file path to that specific file under the 'modified_files' line of my mod's 'metadata.tres' file. Depending on what you're doing, it may involve doing a whole bunch of other stuff that would take way too long to explain in a comment, but you can learn more from here [wiki.cassettebeasts.com] if you're interested. However, If you're just trying to equip channeled power on other tapes, you can just do that with sticker fusion in-game. I'd recommend hunting for the 'compatible with any tape' attribute and applying that to Channelled Power. Hope this helps! (Also for Shining Kuneko, it's worth mentioning that you could uninstall the conflicting mod, equip Channeled Power on Shining Kuneko, then reinstall the mod. As long as you don't remove Channeled Power, Shining Kuneko will still have it equipped).

Found the mod that stops it - thank you! I'm trying to poke around with the files... but when I copy the mod 1-for-1 and add another monster to the mod and give it the Archangel tag, suddenly they can't and Shining Kuneko can't equip Channeled Power. Any suggestions? I'm very new at this.

@Namid Tested on the current version and it still seems to work on my end. If you have any mod that changes Shining Kuneko's stats/data, it may be conflicting with it.

"Magikrab and Shining Kuneko are compatible with the 'Channelled Power' sticker." I've tried applying it to Shining Kuneko and it says incompatible. Just thought I'd let you know.

@inksans230 After doing some testing, it seems the 1% is just a result of the low catch rate (since I also tried chrome tapes and they gave 3%), and lowering Morgante’s health doesn’t seem to increase it. If I end up making an update in the future, I’ll remember to increase the catch rate to make up for it. If you’re okay with using the console, installing Debug Plus and using the command “give_aa_tape oldgante” will also spawn it in.

For some reason Morgante (wounded)'s record chance is locked at 1%, no matter what I do. Is this normal?

@NekoNya The Debug menu mod uses internal names for archangels. Gwenivar is 'clown', so try that.

when you try to give the archangel tape gwenivar with the command doesnt work, it says gwenivar is not an valid archangel tape.

@Warioman Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce the issue on my end. My only other guess is that another mod may be conflicting with it? Try testing if Recordable Archangels works as the only mod installed and if it still doesn't work, feel free to add me so we can test things more in-depth.
