Still hoping to improve this little gamemode - currently working on another scenario with added features and will look at transferring those gameplay improvements to this one once I've got it all working.
I'm hoping to implement custom faction support once I've got the gamemode a little more ironed out. Plus I've only ever grabbed arrays from the config on the fly for things like adding magazines for a random weapon, never to support whatever modded vehicle or units someone has loaded - if anyone has any links to guides, tutorials or BI forums pages dealing with adding custom faction support, I'd be grateful for the pointers.
If it helps, you can load whatever weapon or equipment mod you like and still play with that.
If anyone notices any bugs or repeated frame drops please comment or head over to the BUGREP discussion so I can look into the issue and hopefully improve performance for everyone.
Fps drops with 2000 view distance isn't good enough though - I'll try to extend the cleanup script, optimise the functions, then see what I can do about clearing up unnecessary clutter etc
Thanks Komodo!
-Sigsound soundmod
-Viewdistance of around 1900-2000
Are you able to provide a few more details as I'm currently working on optimisation and personally am able get ~50-60fps on average. I've only experienced fps drops when running blastcore or dialling my view distance over 9000 .
I'm looking at getting the cleanup function to run more often than just on player respawn, but some details about any mods you were running/how high the corpses were piled when you had these drops might help me zero in.
Thanks again!
