E3 2004 Combine Light

This mod replaces the Combine Light model in Half-Life 2 with a model that is based on the early 2004 prerelease Combine Light, seen in HL2 trailers only. The prerelease model has a different appearance than the final model, more boxy with a more angular design.

Recreating Early 2004 Prerelease Content


The early 2004 prerelease content for Half-Life 2 featured a number of differences from the final game, including different models, textures, and gameplay mechanics. This mod attempts to recreate some of these differences, such as the different Combine Light model. While the mod does not perfectly recreate the early prerelease content (Only 10-15% accurate I'd say), it does provide a closer look at what the game could have been in terms of assets.
