The Soviet Union has achieved air superiority over the British Isles and has imposed a naval blockade, effectively sealing off major British ports. Clyde Bay, the UK's principal harbor, is under Soviet control with heavy air raids launched from a Kiev-class carrier anchored in the bay. Intelligence suggests the carrier is heavily guarded by multiple Soviet escorts.

NATO has successfully infiltrated the Channel with a surface strike group consisting of five warships. You are leading this task force northbound, under the cover of harsh weather conditions, which will restrict Soviet air capabilities but not eliminate the threat entirely.

Objective:

Your primary mission is to locate and destroy the Kiev-class carrier and its escort fleet in Clyde Bay. Disabling or sinking the carrier will significantly reduce Soviet air operations in the area, providing much-needed relief to the British Isles.

Assets:

-NATO Surface Group 5-Alpha (5 ships)
-Guided missile Cruiser, Destroyers and Frigates
-P-3 Orion inbound from Iceland and armed with Harpoons
-Potential Reinforcements: A team of US marines has been deployed to reactivate old Israeli missile boats hidden along the Clyde River. If successful, they may provide additional firepower during the operation. (%chance)

Threats:
Soviet Air Raids: The Kiev-class carrier has an air wing capable of launching strikes. Expect resistance from Soviet fighters and bombers attempting to sortie, although the harsh weather conditions may restrict their effectiveness.
Unknown Surface Contacts: Our AWACS coverage is limited, and we lack real-time intelligence on Soviet naval movements in the North Channel. Be prepared for unidentified Soviet surface units potentially lying in wait. There are rumors of a previously engaged Kirov Battlegroup heading towards the northern Channel
Diesel Subs could be lurking the waters, watch out for them
