I did not make this mod. It's one of my favourites though.

Outpost 16 was a short mod made over 6 months in 2010 by Mike Anderson[www.mikeadesign.com]
(apparently it was the first level he'd made, ever).
The mod was so impressive it scored him an interview at id Software, from which he got hired and subsequently went to work on Rage.

Although primitive by today's standards, the exciting set piece-focused design (oft attempted but rarely finished in the Half-Life 2 mapping scene) made this mod stand out.

Along with the beautiful brushwork and thrilling gameplay, the mod had another ambitious rarity: A fully-voiced narrative, featuring Alyx.

Technical Notes:

• While the mod contains voice acting, it never contained lip-syncing. Consider it playing a level just before the final animation pass.
  
  
• I remixed the voices and music so they'd fit with the audio-mixing levels found in the base game.
  
  
• Restored missing music that was no longer loading.
  
  
• I re-wrote the closed captions to fit with the base game's style, and recompiled them. However, I don't think captions are working for custom mods in the Workshop right now, so we'll have to wait for a fix. If you have a solution comment below and I'll update this.
