描述
It's June 26th, 1984. After the collapse of the Brest Pocket, NATO sought to relieve pressure on the critical La Rochelle front in France. Turning their attention eastward, they identified the small but strategic island of Sakhalin as their next target. An imminent NATO assault looms, threatening to seize Sakhalin and disrupt Soviet positions in the Pacific. Determined that the island must not fall, you lead a dedicated defense with a solid but limited fleet complemented by a powerful airwing. Despite limited resources, your ingenuity and resilience are crucial in repelling the overwhelming NATO forces. The fate of Sakhalin and the stability of the region depend on your ability to withstand the impending attack.

Requires rebalance 'cause SAM batteries are unable to atack air targets - TELs are way too far from guidance radars.
Suggest substituting Krugs with something more PVO-like, some stationary SA-3 positions maybe/ Krugs were used for army units' air defence

Aircraft too good in this mission. Enemies has no chances at all. Maybe its a good idea to make it in 2 phases:
1. player counter sudden enemy assault (including landing forces on the ground) with limited airwing (some 23 some 27, no awacs).
2. arrived awacs and now player can see the whole picture
3. after some time or some trigger high command give player authorithy to use heavy assets (su24 and tu22) from distant base

Anyone having issues with the airbase refusing to launch more than a dozen or so planes?

:soviet:was fun to play although after the initial attack it became pretty easy, just launch 12 tu-22m2 and obliterate them with kitchens and repeat as long as you want as all their fighters are dead. I think what NATO side really needs is an aircraft carrier but then again AI is still too dumb to use them so youd have to launch the planes all manually in the editor. :soviet:
