Mission Briefing: Operation Triton’s Gate
Location: Aegean Sea, Eastern Mediterranean
Objective: Prevent Russian naval forces from breaking out of the Aegean Sea into the Mediterranean.

Situation

Russian forces are attempting a breakout from the Aegean Sea into the Mediterranean, posing a strategic threat. Their fleet includes at least three missile cruisers, several destroyers and frigates, and a likely aircraft carrier. Additionally, two Alfa-class nuclear submarines are suspected to be in the area, creating a high-risk environment for NATO surface vessels. E-3 AWACS reports that PACT aircraft have taken off from Bulgarian airbases, likely to provide air cover or direct support for the Russian breakout attempt. These air assets could complicate containment efforts and increase the likelihood of aerial engagement over the Aegean.

Carrier Battlegroup (Dodecanese Islands):
Units: CV-66, DD-922, DDG-933, CG-47, CG-50, FFG-11, FFG-25, FFG-20
Role: Provides air superiority, strike capabilities, and anti-submarine warfare (ASW). CAP from CV-66 will secure airspace, while CG-47 and CG-50 are on missile defense and long-range strike duty.

SSN-716 (North Aegean):
Role: Forward picket in the north Aegean to monitor and engage Russian submarine activity, focusing on Alfa-class subs if they attempt to break south.

Greek Naval Forces:
Cyclades Flotillas: Two flotillas (3-4 ships each) positioned on the eastern and western sides of the Cyclades, acting as initial containment.
Sporades Submarines: Two diesel-electric submarines stationed in the Sporades, ready to interdict Russian submarines moving south.

Air Support:
E-3 AWACS: Monitoring air and surface threats, coordinating NATO aircraft in response to PACT air presence.
Two P-3 Orions: Conducting ASW patrols to support containment of submarine threats.
Greek Airbases: Providing additional CAP and rapid-response strike options as needed.

Somehow the eastern airbase spawned in the middle of the town and now it's unusable. Otherwise, nice scenario
