Chasovoy AWACS Aircraft

The Chasovoy is a carrier based AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) plane is intended for long range early warning and air wing coordination for carrier groups. The airframe, while originally only designed for AWACS operations, was found to be extremely versatile and was quickly redesigned in both Anti-Submarine (ASW) and bomber variants.

Designed to compliment the growing Eastern Pact Armed Forces designs, this plane, based on the Soviet Yak44 should provide a fast and effective recon plane, and with the large array of countermeasures most missiles will have a tough time keeping a lock. And as mentioned, I’m working on both an Anti-Submarine and Bomber version.
